Business as Usual

Okay, first business: sad news for brownie-goose right now, I am not taking orders for john-johns at the moment. I am in the works of trying to find a pattern that actually fits these kiddos and doesn't require an engineer to try to manipulate. I will let everyone know when I can get this figured out, and am sorry but want to make sure that I can outfit my kiddos in the best fit!

I AM a Sewing Machine

Yep - the Summer line is off the chain here at brownie-goose and the sewing machine has been running wild, but I am loving all these new pretty fabrics! Keep the orders coming! I am averaging a week and a half at the most for turnaround after payment is received...............so just keep that in mind when ordering. However, if you have a time crunch - PLEASE let me know and chances are I can probably work with you!

FUN new patterns!

Alright, we all know that I have a little girl that I get a little obsessed with making clothes for.........obviously, I started a business out of it! Anyways, I am always trying to come up with new patterns that I don't see everywhere, and sometimes just your fun, classic get-ups. Well, I have succeeded at coming up with 3 more additions to the girl's collection. Here is their debut:

The tie-back top (pair it with a pair of bottoms for $28)


The Lucy top (this is made from a pillowcase top and has a cinched waist, pair it with some bottoms for $26)


The Kate top (this also comes as a dress for $28, or you can pair the top with bottoms for the same price) - I HAVE to have an accurate chest measurement for this style.


I feel bad about leaving the boys out...............but if anyone has any ideas for new boy patterns, PLEASE let me know! I definitely will welcome some ideas! I just don't have one, and therefore am clueless when it comes to them!

Orders, Stars & Spoiler Alerts

Wow - it feels like forever since I have posted anything here! Although I am on Spring Break this week, I had a moment and decided to update the blog. This post will have all sorts of things, from new orders to stars to some summer spoilers!

First of all I have to say how deeply saddened I am to know that Quilt Arts is closing. The place was a delight for me, I spent hours (not to mention hundreds) in there. They had the BEST selection of fabric that I could ever ask for, sigh............

Needless to say, I was hoping to have my Summer collection out this weekend, but since some of that fabric was ordered from a closed store...............it may be a while longer while I back-track and try to relocate some of the fabric choices, so bear with me - but brownie-goose's Summer line is all about fun, and some preppy for the boys! Keep checking back, and if you are on the mailing list - I will shoot out an email when the Summer line is up!

Orders Up!

Okay, so before I show you some of the recent orders, I wanted to share a picture that is very important to brownie-goose. The namesake, my 2 labs, Mallard & Lucy - who we call Brownie and Goose, are my life. I love them. You can see their photo on the right side of the blog under "brownie-goose namesake." That photo was taken back when we lived in Georgia and we had just recently rescued Goose, so she was like 6 or 7 months.........way before she grew into the 124 lb. horse she is now. Well, the other night, they were both sleeping on the same couch together again (the animals rule the house here) and I had to take the picture. Honestly, Lucy (Goose, the black lab on the left) could EAT Mallard (Brownie, the chocolate on the right). Crazy how they grow!
